Description

Step into a traditional restaurant in Malta for an evening of live entertainment and local cuisine. Established in 1964, Ta’ Marija Restaurant offers a historically rich dance show. This long-standing staple, coupled with the chefs’ explosive creativity, will introduce you to Malta's vibrant culture. Get picked up from your hotel to enjoy a 4-course dinner that provides a new take on Maltese cuisine, serving as a fusion between the old and the new. The menu includes: Antipasto: Maltese sausage, goat's cheese, pistachios and arborio rice with beans. Starter: Traditional shellfish & garlic soup (or) gorgonzola-filled ravioli with creamy button mushroom & truffle oil sauce. Main Course: Baked squid stuffed with tentacles, olives, capers, fresh herbs, and linguine pasta with cuttlefish ink (or) Traditional slow-cooked horsemeat stew with rich red wine and lacto beer sauce and fried wild thyme ‘horseshoe’ bread (or) Signature baked boneless rabbit stuffed with rabbit liver, herbs, and rice in fruity port wine sauce with pistachios, sultanas, and apricots. The above-mentioned main courses are served with roasted seasonal vegetables and Maltese-style baked potatoes with fennel. Dessert: Vanilla, chocolate & strawberry custard, sponge with pomegranate liqueur, “ħelwa tat-tork” (halva), fruit, savoiardi biscuits, cream & crushed nuts. Free-flowing local wine, mineral water and coffee are included during your dinner. After dinner, the folklore show will feature six dancers in 18th-century costumes, who will lure you into a story of Maltese history told through dance. The dancefloor elevates to enable you to watch the show from your dining table. After the show, the dancefloor will light up for you to dance.
