Ta' Kris Restaurant

Ta' Kris is a Maltese restaurant hidden away in an alley just off Malta's most sought after retail space in Sliema. In such a cosmopolitan area with high-street brands and so many cafés selling quick snacks in a mad world, it is refreshing to find Ta' Kris' bistro humbly nestled in a side-street serving typical Maltese dishes in a homely fashion and rustic surroundings.

Built out of a former bakery, Ta' Kris is unassuming but very much inviting with the bakery oven still in place giving an evocative touch to the place. The menu seems to come straight out of mum's kitchen with home-made beef stew, home-made fresh soup, rabbit, stuffed slices of beef (braggioli) - house speciality, sea bass (spnot) and more. There are also a number of Italian and Mediterranean dishes, such as pastas and fillets, which help to give the menu a more complete variety.

Being close to many offices and retail outlets, Ta' Kris is a busy diner and well worth booking in advance. It is open daily for lunch and dinner. Ask for the daily specials!
