Mediterraneo Marine Park Malta

The Mediterraneo Marine Park is an educational fun day out for all the family. With dolphin, sea lion and tropical bird presentations, an amusement area and reptile house, it is a unique attraction in Malta. The Mediterraneo Marine Park is located in an ideal area right on the Mediterranean coast and away from any major development. Discover a world with loving creatures from both the land and sea.

The centrepiece of the park must be the Dolphinarium where visitors never fail to be impressed with the agility, intelligence and the lovely demonstration put on by these fantastic creatures. It is actually also possible to swim and interact with the bottlenose dolphins under the close supervision of the experienced staff. A truly memorable moment in Malta for any lover of these aquatic mammals.

The sea lions will put a smile on your face performing tricks such as pirouettes and jumps while the hosts make it a point to educate and inform visitors. An array of Tropical birds show off their unique and talented behaviour with Macaws, Greenwing Amazons and Cockatoos all joining in on the act. Finally, a state-of-art Reptile house hosts a vast collection of snakes, turtles, lizards and a number of insects that are bound to send a shiver up your spine.

The Mediterraneo Marine Park also includes a number of on-site facilities such as a play area for children, a restaurant and cafeteria, souvenir shop and a mini-lab for instant photo development. They also organise children's parties and special rates are available for groups.

In Summer 2012, the park was acquired by Costa Edutainment of Italy who own five Aquariums in Italy, including Europe's largest located in Genova. This has ensured the professional management of the park and to continue the company's policy to use marine life to educate first.

Ample parking is found just outside the marine park and public transport is available with bus stops situated just outside the park's entrance. The Mediterraneo Marina Park is open all year round during the following hours:

Summer schedule: 18 MAR to 30 SEP, DAILY - 10.00 to 17.00hrs

Winter schedule: 1 OCT to 17 MAR, DAILY (except Mondays) - 10.00 to 14.00hrs
