It is always a good idea to book your transport in advance and get rates quoted when booking a transfer in Malta and Gozo. Taxis and cabs are a great alternative to public transport especially when travelling with luggage or need to get to your destination in style... dining out, going to the theatre or enjoying Malta's club and bar scene. Malta is surrounded by sea, so this is another option worthwhile considering... it can be much quicker (Sliema-Valletta is literally reduced to a couple of minutes by crossing the harbour) and certainly more fun! Both Seaplane and Helicopter services have been temporarily suspended between Malta and Gozo... but it seems like we are not too far off from having a local air transport service reinstated again... so watch this space!
